Welcome to the brand new, official website of legendary "Tower of Power" bassist Francis "Rocco" Prestia. What is hip? If you didn't already know, you wouldn't be here. Our job is to keep you hip - by bringing you all the news, background and other stuff pertaining to the undisputed king of 16th note funk bass. We intend to make this site as comprehensive as possible, so warm up those fingers and dig in!

Dean Markley & Rocco Prestia The New Strings
Working in conjunction with Rocco Prestia, NPS RoundCore Bass stings are built the old fashioned way......carefully wound on a round core. Mike Connolly recently stated that, "The extra time and effort we put into the NPS RoundCore strings gives them a quality - an evenly tensioned string built to Rocco's exacting tolerances. You just don't find that quality in today's conventional bass strings."
